los beatniko (Rick Bailey) is an electronic music producer, sound experimentalist, and broadcaster based in NL. He’s spent most of his life in the creation of music and manipulation of sound for no other reason than because it’s in his nature to do so. In the last twenty years, he’s played in experimental and improvisational groups including Robot Scout, Former Eraser and The Black Auks, has been an active contributor and organizer with Sound Symposium, provided past musical accompaniment for dance organizations like Neighbourhood Dance Works and Mile Zero Dance, has played support shows for local artist collectives Eastern Edge and St. Michael’s Printshop, and is open to collaboration at a moment’s notice. In recent times, he’s put more focus on portability and technology to jam, share, and freely create in his fields of interest.
